🔍 When is it ripe?
Skin turns from green to fully yellow; brown flecks ('sugar spots') signal peak sweetness. Harvest when yellow but firm; ripen at room temperature. Do not refrigerate unripe — turns skin black without ripening flesh.
Public if you live in the apartments. Unsure of the species as I no longer live there and never thought to see what kind they were at the time.
