🔍 When is it ripe?
Bright red olive-shaped berries. Very sour when first red — wait until they turn deep red and fall freely or can be shaken off. High in vitamin C. Good for jam, wine, and sauce.
Tree in front of apartment building, next to a light post and pipe. Accessible from sidewalk. No one picks from this tree other than the birds, cherries are always on the ground.
