🔍 When is it ripe?
Hangs heavily and droops at the neck; skin softens and may split. A sweet drop of nectar at the base eye and the absence of white sap at the stem confirm ripeness. Pick with a gentle twist.
Fig trees along the walkway beside the old Tully's coffee shop across from Starbucks. Fruit seen on trees but never tasted. (My only worry is commercial landscape maintenance using pesticides and pre-emergent herbicides that are then taken up by these Fig plants)
