🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep purple-black, duller than blackberries. Separates from the hollow core like a red raspberry. Richer, more intense flavour than red raspberry. Short season — harvest daily.
Great Black Raspberry bramble in the woods here. Very healthy plants in abundance. If you explore along the treeline throughout this entire south shore area, you will surely find more individual plants and brambles, but marker is at what I believe to be the best & Biggest, almost unknown source. You will need a State Park pass to access.
