Common bilberry
π 5VC3+4C Congleton, UK
A considerable number of bilberry bushes along the path up the Cloud; you can either take the rockier path to the left once you're facing the tree grove proper, or go directly through the grove - either way, you'll encounter a number of bushes.
Bilberries are the smaller, sharper cousins of blueberries. You'd need a lot to make anything, but if nothing else, it's fun to come back with something after a nice walk out. If you want to make something substantial with bilberries, your best bet is to just buy some, rather than stripping every bush - and there's a damned lot of bushes - bare.
Be warned that many people walk their dogs up the Cloud; I'd suggest thoroughly washing any fruit before consumption as a result. Use your brain. On a clear day, you can see from the top of the hill all the way to Manchester and Liverpool. If nothing else, it's a very enjoyable walk.
