🔍 When is it ripe?
Small apples ripen from green to red, yellow, or orange by variety. Very tart raw but excellent for jelly and cider. Ripe when the colour is fully developed and the fruit lifts off with a gentle twist.
Two crabapple trees at the corner of Wilson and McLean. Fruit looks plump and bright. They taste tart but not overly pucker-y. Can't wait to try making some jam with them!
