Behind the swingset next to the Osprey Drive parking lot, there is a decently-sized sparkleberry tree with moderate amounts of black, blueberry-sized fruits, ripening usually by the summer. One of the rangers described it to me as tasting 'like blueberries mixed with dirt'. Not super strongly flavored - best made into a jam.
