🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, round, turning from red to deep purple-black. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully dark. Birds eat them as soon as they ripen — check daily. Best fresh or in pies and jam.
A big cluster of juneberry bushes are hiding in this sliver of grass between Wegmans and Hopeman halls. UR is private property, but guests are welcome and no one will care if you scarf down a few handfuls of purple goodness.
