🔍 When is it ripe?
Red to yellow, about 2 cm across. Tart-sweet when ripe; flesh softens and the fruit falls readily. Good raw or cooked. Watch for early drop — often ready by mid-August.
Four plum trees outside the bee laboratory. Not sure of cultivar. Yellow ripens to red. Kind of astringent. Very productive to low productivity depending on tree.
