🔍 When is it ripe?
Ribbed, cherry-sized fruit turns from green → orange → red → deep burgundy-purple. Sweetest and least resinous when deepest purple-black. Very soft when ripe; falls at a touch. Short shelf life — eat within 24 hours.
On the East side of the house, along Bennett Rd. Very large shrub loooooaded with fruit. Private property. The owners said we were welcome to pick from it and add it to the Falling Fruit map, inviting others to pick from it, too.
