🔍 When is it ripe?
Non-astringent types: eat when orange and firm. Astringent types: wait until very soft and wrinkled. Both fully orange when ripe.
There are 2 persimmon here. Wait until the fruit are orange and soft -- then wait a little longer. The tannins make persimmons nearly inedible until they're ripe enough.
I think these are American Persimmon. The low hanging fruit are usually gone, but the trees are easy to climb.
