🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
Delicious green apples located on the back corner of the small garage of the Corp of Engineers Ball Mountain Dam facility. Technically it is a federal offense to take anything from their property but I think that refers to archeological artifacts, deer, picnic tables...
