🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, round, turning from red to deep purple-black. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully dark. Birds eat them as soon as they ripen — check daily. Best fresh or in pies and jam.
Serviceberry trees along N side of New Field School, and behind fence (but easily reached from sidewalk) on N and W sides. Further west trees have better yield.
