🔍 When is it ripe?
Harvest leaves just before flowering for peak flavour. Cut stems back by a third regularly to encourage bushy growth. Flavour declines after flowering — cut flower spikes off to extend harvest.
In the park garden border by Windsor Gate and Pipeline Road there's a bunch of healthy mint that was planted in the park landscaped area. A horticulture atrocity if you ask me, directly planting such an invasive plant in the ground but it makes it ideal to harvest!
