🌳
Blackberry
📍 242 Conisborough Cres, London SE6 2SE, UK
🗓 Season: July · August · September
🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Bramble spanning the edge of the park. Fruit is small and not super sweet, might not be getting enough nutrients as it sits on a slope. More bushes can be found within the nearby woodland, the fruit is similarly small and hard to pick, but good enough if you're after a quick snack while walking around.
