Blueberry
📍 after parking in lot. walk straight over bridge tressle. go left walk 1/2 mile or so and on the right along the bog embankment there are tons of blueberry bushes. bring a big basket.

🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep blue-purple with a silvery bloom; stem scar (not stem) at the top. Taste is the best test — a truly ripe blueberry is sweet and has no pink flesh inside. Let the cluster go fully blue before picking the whole thing.
lots of berries in fall- October usually great. varies though with weather.
There are also cranberries in the bogs which used to be harvested by Ocean Spray but now smaller farmers are doing that. Don't try and scoop them, there are signs not to do that and if so penalty.
