🔍 When is it ripe?
Green outer husk splits and darkens; nuts fall or shake loose. Remove husks immediately and cure for 2 weeks to develop full flavour. Gloves prevent staining.
Lots of fallen walnuts around when they're not swept up by ground-staff...but you're not meant to walk on the grass!
