🔍 When is it ripe?
Small apples ripen from green to red, yellow, or orange by variety. Very tart raw but excellent for jelly and cider. Ripe when the colour is fully developed and the fruit lifts off with a gentle twist.
The tree is located on Edgar Street at the edge of private property where there is plenty of parking and the ground is flat and safe. The fruit is on my property but so abundant and happy to share. It is the very dark red variety and makes a good pink to red jelly. Please knock on the back door and announce your presence as we have dogs.
