🍎
Apple (Malus)
📍 32 Mythern Mdw, Bradford-on-Avon BA15 1HF, UK
🗓 Season: August · September · October · November
🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
This now disused golf course was once a landfill/tip so use your judgment when harvesting edibles here.
Late July 2020 this apple tree is loaded with really healthy looking fruit. The pin is dropped on the tree; it's blooming in the satellite image.
The course has a lot of nut, apple and berries.
The golf course closed this past year. It's currently private land with public walking paths due to corona virus. There is talk of the council buying the land to have it open access. Please update this post if there is an updated in land ownership or access.
