🔍 When is it ripe?
Dark purple-black variety. Ripe when the skin is very dark, fruit droops, and feels soft throughout. Very sweet — harvest promptly as they attract wasps and birds.
Nice small-ish fig tree in front of an apartment building often not picked. Harvest early to mid August.
