🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, round, turning from red to deep purple-black. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully dark. Birds eat them as soon as they ripen — check daily. Best fresh or in pies and jam.
There's some high growing serviceberry bushes around here, the property is likely public, belonging to the school. I'm not sure about the type but I can confirm that they're a good tasting one.
