🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
Tart green/red apple. Small apples with some spots, but good texture and flavor. You can see the fruit just downhill from the swing set. Bring a pole picker because the deer eat all of the low-hanging fruit.
