🔍 When is it ripe?
Red to yellow, about 2 cm across. Tart-sweet when ripe; flesh softens and the fruit falls readily. Good raw or cooked. Watch for early drop — often ready by mid-August.
Almost every tree off the end of this path is a high-yield American Plum. In total around this lake/river and through the surrounding parkland, there have to be 15-20 trees.
