🔍 When is it ripe?
Green husks turn brown and split; nuts drop naturally. Gather promptly before wildlife. Kernels should be plump and cream-coloured. Dry before storing.
Some kind of nut tree pretty sure hickory growing next to the oak. Decent yeild but it all dropped before I got there.
