🔍 When is it ripe?
Turns red, yellow, or purple depending on variety; flesh gives slightly under thumb pressure. Taste-test — ripe ones are sweet-tart with little astringency. Drops easily from stem when gently twisted.
Cherry plum trees red & yellow, from Black's Lane to 2.5klm along Glenormiston Road from Noorat on right hand side on open bend where road widens. Parking in layby just past trees to west. NB some maps call Glenormiston Road in that area Black's Road which is incorrect.
