🔍 When is it ripe?
Like a smaller blackberry on a trailing cane. Fully black and separates easily. A waxy bloom on ripe berries. Ripe before blackberries in most areas.
Lots and lots of dewberries. Ripe around march. Make sure to save and spread seeds back out through the area so you and others can have more Later on. I blend the betries in food processor, then strain to separate pulp and juice from seeds. Pulp and juice make delicious smoothies, jam, pie, etc.
