🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
Different kinds of apples. Used to be a part of Joe's farm, across the street, but the land was sold a while ago, now abandoned. The apples when I last picked were not "pretty," but they were in ok condition because the trees are not being cared for anymore. I parked on NE 4 Seasons Lane and then found a place to walk down to get to the trees. They seem to have a good amount of apples on the trees.
