Fully coloured and separates easily from the stem. Taste is the best guide — sweet with little tartness. Harvest the whole bunch at once.
Grape vine growing up the back wall of a pub, above the bins. Vine leaves from late spring and small, but edible, grapes in early autumn. Requires a step stool or ladder to reach them.
