🔍 When is it ripe?
Another name for serviceberry — small, dark berries ripen in June. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully purple-black.
Tree very healthy and productive. It is on cemetery property, but does come over the fence onto the sidewalk with fruit. The cemetery is generally fine with foragers if you speak to them first if you are gathering on the property and are respectful. It may be nice to drop some berries by the office for them to enjoy too.
