Sage
🗓 Season: May · June · July · August
🔍 When is it ripe?
Harvest young, grey-green leaves before or during flowering for best flavour. Woody older leaves are less aromatic. Dry well for year-round use. Flowers are edible as a garnish.
An abundance of common/culinary sage, Salvia officinalis, planted on both sides of the path leading from Tower Bridge and running parallel to Tower Hill, A100, past the Tower ramparts.
