🔍 When is it ripe?
Small, silvery-red berries with a mealy texture. Ripe when pink-red and slightly soft. Mildly sweet; best cooked.
Silverthorn hedge around the parking lot - should have berries in the early spring. Eat only the ripe fruit, as unripe fruit is sort of astringent and not the best tasting.
