🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
Along Burke Hill Road and 101, there are several blackberry patches on both sides of the road. Last year I collected about 10 lbs.
I will update with exact months, but usually mid to late summer the blackberries are ripe.
