Now Forage

Delicious, orange and red, culinary mushrooms litter the forest floor north and south of the black/blue trail between E9 and E10 from July to Septeber 3-5 days after a good rain. Yielded 20 lbs over three weeks in 2014; 10 over one week in July 2015. Chanterelles in July, lobsters follow. Mushrooming was allowed in Lapham peak in 2014 and 2015 (likely other years too) and people are friendly and curious.
