🔍 When is it ripe?
Round, strawberry-textured red or orange fruit. Flowers and last year's fruit ripen simultaneously. Ripe when deep red and very soft; gritty texture and mild sweet flavour. Good for jam and brandy. Overripe fruit ferments on the tree — slightly intoxicating.
Right on the corner, next to the sidewalk. Very prolific. Unknown about whether it's sprayed or not.
