🔍 When is it ripe?
Must be fully ripe (very soft, almost jelly-like) before eating. Harvest after first frost or when naturally falling. Dark orange to purple when ready. Rich, caramel-sweet flavour.
Three tall persimmon trees, with small but tasty fruit. One of them has a botanical ID sign. They are in a woodlot, so there are no reachable branches -- gotta get 'em off the ground.
