🔍 When is it ripe?
Turns red, yellow, or purple depending on variety; flesh gives slightly under thumb pressure. Taste-test — ripe ones are sweet-tart with little astringency. Drops easily from stem when gently twisted.
cherry plums of various types, growing above pavement at road crossing up to the bryn. Need picking as they fall and make pavement slippy wasp fest.
