🔍 When is it ripe?
Background skin colour shifts from green toward yellow; seeds turn brown when ripe. Fruit separates from the spur with a gentle upward twist. Aroma develops near the base. Wild Malus fruit is often small and tart — excellent for cider and jelly.
Apples very sweet and firm - we picked 100's of them Oct - Nov 2016. They become sauce when cooked. You need an apple picker or tall ladder to get most of them
