🔍 When is it ripe?
Red to yellow, about 2 cm across. Tart-sweet when ripe; flesh softens and the fruit falls readily. Good raw or cooked. Watch for early drop — often ready by mid-August.
Fruit trees (apricots, red plums) hang over the fence on the Alvin Avenue side of this corner property. They drop fruit all over the sidewalk. The fruit is up high, a ladder or extended grabber of some kind would be helpful.
