🔍 When is it ripe?
Common medlar: Must be bletted before eating. Pick after the first hard frost; store in a single layer in a cool room for 2–4 weeks until flesh is dark brown and very soft. Sweet, wine-like flavour.
Pear: Unlike apples, pears ripen from the inside out. Harvest when the skin colour lightens and the fruit separates with a gentle upward twist. Ripen off the tree at room temperature — leave on a counter until the neck yields to thumb pressure.
Walnut: Green outer husk splits and darkens; nuts fall or shake loose. Remove husks immediately and cure for 2 weeks to develop full flavour. Gloves prevent staining.
Nefles, noix à foison et quelque poires à disposition lors de leur pousse. Il faut passer le portail toujours ouvert, il y un poirier entre les deux premières maisons et 3 néfliers, dont deux dernières l’immeuble du fond, à coté de deux noyer. A ramasser à bonne saison (octobre-décembre pour les noix et printemps-été pour le reste). Bienvenu !
