🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
New development went in in 2019. There are around 10 young mulberry trees in front of the houses on this new cul-de-sac. Multiple varieties (small black, larger black, and white). The trees are very young as of 2020, but look like they will be very productive as they grow. They are on private property, but the residents I've spoken with have been ok with me picking - be sure to ask first.
