Lemon (Citrus) · Mandarin · Persimmon
📍 104 John St, Lidcombe NSW 2141, Australia
🗓 Season: November · December · January · February · March · October
🔍 When is it ripe?
Lemon (Citrus): Uniformly yellow skin; heavy for its size. Can stay on the tree for months once yellow. Scratch the skin — a strong lemon scent confirms ripeness.
Mandarin: Deep orange, slightly loose skin that separates easily from the segments. Heavy for its size. The skin can pucker and look slightly wrinkled when fully ripe — not a sign of spoilage.
Persimmon: Non-astringent types: eat when orange and firm. Astringent types: wait until very soft and wrinkled. Both fully orange when ripe.
There is falling fruit hanging throughout this street, at least 3-4 houses if you walk down Noora St.
