🔍 When is it ripe?
The green husk splits into four sections and turns brown when ripe. Shake branches or wait for fall. Cure in a cool, dry place for 2–3 weeks. Kernels should be full and not shrivelled.
Peacan trees numerous in North Lakes neighborhood yards as well as a park mainted by North Lakes Recreation Cntr. Pear Trees in neighborhood yards, fig trees various types...brown Turkey and Celeste...neighbors are very kind and if you ask they don't mind. Some prickly pear ,blackberries.. Lots of acorn trees. Rosemary is used as a shrub so neighbors are always pruning it. All plants are extremely healthy. Lot of fruit fall because people are a little weary with the up keep I offer to come and pick it up as I harvest what I want.
