🔍 When is it ripe?
Flat, dome-shaped, brilliant red berries. Very delicate — falls apart when fully ripe. Eat on the spot; does not travel. Ripe when uniformly red and separates without effort.
Very large patch of wild thimbleberries. Right off of the trail and not far from the parking lot. Please be sure to ask a professional to identify the plant as safe before eating.
