🔍 When is it ripe?
Deep red to purple-black when fully ripe. Falls naturally. Tart-sweet flavour. Spread cloth below and shake. Stains permanently.
Two red mulberry trees on the west side on the southwest commuter path. One produced high quality large fruit in quantity while the other was a little weak. Mosquitoes are usually pretty bad here when fruit is ripe, so plan accordingly. Most fruit above average reach, but there is a fair amount of low hanging branches
