🔍 When is it ripe?
Background colour changes from green to yellow or cream (variety determines final colour). Seeds inside should be brown. Flesh yields slightly to thumb pressure. A ripe apple releases with a gentle upward twist — no pulling. Check the ground for natural drops.
A pair of summer apples on the south side of the Plant Science building, right in the center of this little curved-sidepath garden thing with two benches on either side of the trees. They're right up next to the building so look closely. Seem to be on a two-year fruiting cycle, fruiting every even year.
I think the university qualifies as public land?
