🔍 When is it ripe?
Small clusters ripen from red to very dark purple-black. Intensely astringent until fully dark; seeds and leaves contain hydrocyanic acid — cook or dry before eating in quantity. Best for jams and syrups.
not sure which species or precise location but several bushes along this path. path is part of private park but as long as you obey the rules anyone is welcome. more probably along another path immediately to the south too (public county land). needs expert input...
