Blackberry
📍 4710 Cooksbury Ct, Raleigh, NC 27604, USA
🗓 Season: July · August · September
🔍 When is it ripe?
Fully black (not red or dark red) and comes off the stem with no resistance — zero pull. Dull rather than shiny; a shiny black berry is still slightly underripe and tart. Eat the same day for best flavour.
North of the road, under the power lines. There is a patch in the center, and more line the woods. Biggest and best berries come from large (old?) plants along the woods to the East, up the next hill to the North.
Berries get ripe in early July.
