🔍 When is it ripe?
Ripe when fully coloured (white, red, or black by species) and falls at a touch. Spread a sheet and shake the branches. Extremely perishable — process or eat immediately.
Two large mulberry trees along the west side of the camping area. The trees are not next to each other but are easy to find amongst the other trees, especially when ripe berries scatter the ground in late June/early July. Spread a sheet or ground cloth below the branches and shake the tree/branches to drop ripe berries.
