🔍 When is it ripe?
Hangs heavily and droops at the neck; skin softens and may split. A sweet drop of nectar at the base eye and the absence of white sap at the stem confirm ripeness. Pick with a gentle twist.
Green figs, possibly Turkish, gotta bring a ladder or come before the owner chops a bunch of low branches off the tree, haven't tried just asking them not to cut branches so I can harvest their figs.
