🔍 When is it ripe?
Another name for serviceberry — small, dark berries ripen in June. Sweet and blueberry-like when fully purple-black.
In the corner of the hospital lot.
Seems like good yield but most branches aren't low enough to pick from. I didn't try getting up on the black fence to know how sturdy it is; nor did I bring any implements to pick the berries above my head. Got a few sweet ones lower down.
